When I order a milkshake at Mickies it is almost always paired with a piece of their home made coffee cake.
Lunch and dinner have appetizers, so why can’t breakfast? This appetizer comes in blueberry or apple cinnamon. On this trip I went with the blueberry. As you can see, Mickies means business when it comes to their food. This cake is tall,dense, moist and loaded with flavor. A fork (or two ) is the best way to attack the mountain of cake that is presented to you. The cake is littered with blueberries and capped with a delicious crumbly and sugary streusel topping. This makes the perfect appetizer for the Scrambler that lies ahead.

Who knew that in just three posts about beer, bacon, milkshakes and coffee cake that you could make someone actually want to go to Madison, Wisconsin in February?
