You are looking at a Whiskey Sour. This drink is really simple to make. It is basically your choice of whiskey or bourbon, lemon juice and sugar. To make this one, my Mom followed this recipe.
Depending on the size of your container, the amounts will vary.
You want the drink to be 1/2 whiskey/bourbon (my mom used Maker’s Mark) and 1/2 lemonade (diet lemonade if you are watching calories). The lemonade has sugar in it, so it is not necessary to add more sugar. Traditionally, you would use fresh squeezed lemon juice and add sugar, but when making this in large quantities it is a lot easier to use already made lemonade.
Pour this into an ice filled glass ( I like using mason jars), stir, and enjoy! You can add lemon wheels as garnish. If you are having a party then you can make a large batch ahead of time and leave it in the refrigerator over night.
Of course you can add more lemonade or more booze depending on your taste. There is really no wrong or right way to make this, as long as you use your favorite whiskey/bourbon and lemonade (or lemon juice and sugar). Have fun with it!
