Well hello to you cupcake! Austin,TX

When in Austin, I was walking down South Congress street and saw a field full of food trailers. I had just eaten, but when I saw a silver airstream trailer topped with a spinning cupcake I had to investigate further. I saw the name on the trailer was hey cupcake! It is only polite to go over and say hi back, right?

If you have been following the blog you may have noticed I am a sucker for a good cupcake (I ate them in Knoxville and Columbia) I think a cupcake is the perfect dessert. It is truly an art to balance the right amount of icing with the right amount of cake. I also enjoy the creativity that people take with their cupcakes. I love finding new flavors and clever names.

In looking at the menu, I knew it was going to be a tough decision. I ended up having to buy two. The first one I selected was the Michael Jackson. Mmm cream cheese icing with chocolate cake as the base, How can you go wrong?

Topping with SPRINKLES! Is always a good way to finish!

Wondering what else I got at hey cupcake? Well you will have to wait until later to find out. I will give you a hint, it is my favorite kind of cake…
