You are looking at what is pretty much the equivalent of Wisconsin’s most notable foods in a bun. “Ok Taylor, so what am I looking at?.
It is the Great Dane’s Brat and Bacon Pretzel Burger. (yes brats and bacon in the same sentence. )
It all starts with an interesting and unique pretzel bun.
Between that you have not one but two patties. There is one beef patty and one brat patty. Yes you heard right, a brat patty ( it is a brat but instead of in a sausage casing, it is a patty).
Mmm look at that. On the bottom a juicy beef patty, grilled onions and then topped with a delicious brat patty. How do you make this better? Easy..

Add bacon covered in Wisconsin cheddar cheese. Finish with pickle, tomato and lettuce.
And here is what all of these amazing ingredients look like in the completed sandwich.
That is a large sandwich that requires a large appetite. Where can you get a burger like this? At the Great Dane. The Dane is known for its great beer ( it is a brewery, but that is another post) and great food. In addition to the food I love their outdoor beer garden.
The Dane’s menu covers a wide range. To give you an idea it includes a large selection of burgers and sandwiches (Dane Burger, Irish Road Reuben,Cuban Sandwich, Brewman Rob’s Gourmet Grilled Cheese… etc) pub favorites ( Tandoori Chicken, Brats and Mash, Lagered Sausage Platter, Black and Blue New York Strip… etc) I could keep on going, but to really understand you will need to go for yourself. Stay tuned later and I will bring you the beer side of the Great Dane.
