While in Salt Lake City - I second the Nielsen's frozen custard suggestion. A friend from high school's dad owns it and their concretes are to die for! If you like sushi, try Takashi on Market Street. For the best mexican food you may possibly have - Red Iguana on No. Temple is worth the wait! A cool bar scene is The Bayou on State Street. And you can't go wrong with the local brews from Squatters or Red Rock.

Los Angeles.... Yang Chow for Slippery Shrimp, Fillipe's for the original French dip, Langer's for the best pastrami ever (I say that even being from NY)

My husband and I lived in Salt Lake City for over 7 years, but now live in Austin, TX. There are two restaurants we miss the most: Granato's Deli (1391 South 300 West, Salt Lake City, UT‎ - (801) 486-5643‎) and Tony Caputo's Deli (314 West 300 South, Salt Lake City, UT‎ - (801) 531-8669). We also miss Crown Burger, but you may have already tried it. Safe journey!
