Happy Holidays!

I never got around to sending out a Christmas card so hear is a tacky sweater version!

It is hard to believe that it is almost the end of December and Christmas is in 2 days. I just wanted to say Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to everyone. I realize that I have not been posting as much in the last few weeks and I do apologize. I have been busy writing away and working on the book proposal for the tailgate tour. Like most things that I get into I completely underestimates what goes into it. Regardless, I am very happy with how it is turning out and hope that in a few months I can let you know if it will actually be turned into a book.

Anyway, I wanted to share with you two of my favorite holiday foods and when I see these. it will always remind me of Christmas. The first is Moravian Sugar Cake from Dewey’s in Winston, Salem, NC. My mom makes these every Christmas morning for breakfast.

Mmmm cinnamon look at that gooey cinnamon and sugar!  Absolutely delicious. Whenever I see this treat it always reminds me of Christmas mornings.

The second food that reminds me most of Christmas are Clementines!

Growing up, my mom would always put these in our stockings. I saw them at the grocery store last night and had to buy a crate!
