In Utah we have a state holiday called Pioneer Day but the nomiker has changed to a more food-centric theme of “Pie and Beer Day”. So to celebrate, this is the pie I’ll be making in celebration. Yum!

Was looking for a new dessert to try when I found the double chocolate pie recipe. The photos were so amazing that I had to try it. Took it to a dinner party (of people who really know and love their chocolate) and it was a HUGE hit!! I will be making this again and again…

My older daughter’s fav cake is german choc, but the other daughter doesn’t care for it due to the coconut/pecan icing. thanks to you I will try to have a happy compromise for them this weekend with this pie, love the layers, thanks for sharing, again gorgeous photography, what can’t u make look beyond delicious LOL!

I think I might be drooling… The TWO layers of chocolate looks marvelous.
And for the record, I can’t be trusted with pie (or chocolate) either (and especially not when they’re one in the same).
