Welcome to Taylor Takes a Taste!

My name is Taylor, and I am a food photographer living in Charlotte, NC. I grew up in Charlotte, swam in college at the University of Wisconsin, went to photography school in California, and now have come full circle living back in Charlotte.

I love food and photography, so on Taylor Takes a Taste, you will see where these two intersect! Everything from recipes, restaurant reviews, food photography tutorials, product reviews and anything else that I can come up with. If you are hungry after each post, then I have done my job!

Amrita - Ok. Now, we have to be friends…..I can get lost in a hardware or grocery store or Ikea for hours too…before I get hungry, of course.
Your blog’s yummy! Love your photography too!

Kate - Found you through Food Gawker (your pulled pork post was amazing – awesome photos!) and have been wandering around here for a while. You’re my new favorite blogger, based on picture quality and the college town tour. Specifically Athens, though Savannah has its perks. I’m a UGA grad and was secretly thrilled to see your reviews on meals and restaurants I consider dear and familiar (hello – fries, feta and chocolate shake at 3AM is the best thing EVER). Looking forward to what comes next from you!

Erin - Loooooove your blog— just stumbled over here from tastespotting, and I’m hooked! Your photos are stunning… if you don’t mind me asking, what’s your favorite lens? (I just got my first dslr and I’m obsessed with it) I hope I get to your level someday.

Looking forward to reading and seeing much more. Happy blogging!

Jaclyn Webb - Love the blog! I just found it after following a photo link of a cupcake from foodgawker.com. I too LOVE cupcakes and I too am a Badger and Madison alumni. Your photographs are beautiful and I love the places you have been and your upcoming college tour. Very awesome.

Mike Jehle (aka THE KID) - Someone on Twitter re-Tweeted your Badger post and that’s what led me to your website. Dude, awesome stuff. Love your tailgate tour entries and look forward to more.

Myself and four others are headed to Nashville the fourth weekend in October and heading over to Knoxville for the game (proceeded by a couple nights of partying and N-Ville & then the Eagles – Titans game on Sunday).

I have been a huge Vols fan since I was young and convinced a couple others this would be a good football weekend trip. The five of us though are all from Wisconsin. I’m Wisconsin-LaCrosse grad, along with another UW-L, two from Madison & a UW-Parkside).

If you are so inclined when your Neyland trip rolls around, shoot me an e-mail or DM me on Twitter ( @THEKID_ ). Otherwise again, great stuff and I look forward to more tailgate posts.

Dave Johnson - Great blog idea Taylor! Found your link via the Latin FB page, and sorry I had to miss the game in Madison last week. I am a transplanted Latin Alum (’90) living outside of Madison. Enjoy the rest of your tour!

Best,
Dave

Susan - A friend forwarded a link to you post on Penn State. I promptly forwarded it on to all my Penn State friends. I even found some friends in one of your photos!

Your quest to find the best tailgate is an awesome idea. As a Penn State alum and someone who know lives and works in State College, Pa. and is obviously completely biased, I hope you end up deciding the Nittany Lions know how to do it best.

Enjoy the rest of your travels!

Susan
