a little icecream in berkeley

Right now I am in State College, PA, on the campus of Penn State. I am here for the 4th stop on my tailgating tour. In touring campus today, I made a trip to PSU’s creamery. Next week I will share with you what I discovered there, but since I have brought up the subject of ice cream in a college town I wanted to share with you a delicious place I found in Berkeley,CA.

After my Western Road Trip with Brett, I took a trip up to Berkeley,CA. The first place I want to share with you is Ici. Ici is located on College Ave in Berkeley and has some pretty delicious ice cream.

My friend Hailey (A fellow Wisconsin alum and also a Berkeley alum) shared in this ice cream adventure with me (sharing in a food adventure with me generally means you will be asked to be a hand model, Thanks again Hailey!) . I decided to go with two scoops. I wanted to try all of the flavors, but I showed restraint and limited myself to just 2.

On top is a delicious Nectarine Sorbet. Below was a rich and cream Strawberry ice cream.

Hailey decided that Candied Meyer Lemon was the way to go.

We might have disagreed on our flavor choices, but one thing we both enjoyed was the delicious home made hand rolled cone. The cones were fresh and crispy. Discovering a chocolate filled bottom was the perfect compliment to the ice cream that came before.
